3700 km through Ukraine!

Car tour TRAIN OF FRIENDSHIP aim is unite the people who live in different regions of Ukraine by giving them information about democratic values and constitutional principles.

Tuesday, December 14:
09:30 Press conference of car tour. Agency UNIAN, Krechatik 4, Kyiv. (after press conference we have transportation for journalist joining the tour)
11:00 Car tour TRAIN OF FRIENDSHIP will start from street Kiltzeva, Kyiv (near supermarket Billa).

Main tasks for this apolitical car tour:
• To present the different ideas, positions and opinions of different people who live in Ukraine with the goal of eliminating conflict between East and West;
• To promote civic rights, ensured by the Constitution of Ukraine (Part 1 – Articles, 3, 4, 5, 15, 17, and the Entirety of Part 2)
• To create the foundation for people to make an informed choice during voting during the repeat-round of Presidential Elections in Ukraine in 2004;
• To inform the communities of the South, East and North of the country about the events that took place on Independence Square in Kyiv after November 21 and throughout a two week period after the second round of the Presidential Elections of Ukraine.

50 cars and 150 participants, among which are artists, photographers, musicians, a graffiti group, DJs, journalists and filmmakers, are starting their 10-day journey across of Ukraine to inform communities in the east, north and south of the country about the events that happened on Independence Square (Maidan) in Kiev after November 21.

Within ten days the participants will visit 14 municipalities (oblasts) of Ukraine and will make stops in every major city.

Road Plan: Kyev - Cherkasy - Kirovohrad - Odesa - Mykolajiv - Herson - Simpheropol - Sevastopol - Yalta - Zaporizhzhya - Dnipropetrovsk - Donetsk - Luhansk - Kharkiv - Poltava - Kyev
